Letters to E.D.

I love and hate this poem, Letters to E.D. because it relates to my personal life. I have a good fighting spirit and very stubborn as well as my counsellor and teacher says but  I'm fighting for the wrong thing. I'm like an ostrich too as well in the poem because I lose my confidence sometime as well. I'm a nobody but my self, don't like it? get lost.

  1. I am glad that you were able to relate to this poem. It is about waiting inside yourself, waiting for an opportunity to be heard. Emily Dickinson was a recluse and never socialized with anybody much. She wrote her poetry alone and lived with her family.
It is hard to be alone ALL the time. Emily wrote a lot about her loneliness.

I like also how you mentioned that you are like an ostrich. I think most of us are at times. Sometimes we don't want to look at things, and sometimes we don't want anyone to look at us.

Use your fighting spirit to keep yourself from getting too lonely. Use your fighting spirit to be alone when you need to. Then it is okay to be you....
